For instance, pectin, carrageenan, xanthan gum, locust bean gum etc. are used in medicines to stabilize active agents, to achieve effective drug delivery (DDS). In recent years, these polysaccharides have been used for vegetable capsule, oral jelly preparation, and enteric disintegrating drug.
